The company has also quietly dropped the price of their Unlimited Screens and Enhanced Cloud DVR add-ons. The price bump comes as Hulu Live TV added channels from Discovery in December. Hulu's majority owner is The Walt Disney Company. Hulu + Live TV has been a longtime favorite of cord-cutters because it allows them to tune in to their favorite live channels and stream on demand all in a single subscription. Last month, Hulu announced that they would be raising Hulu Live TV by 5 a month to 44.99. By comparison, Netflix plans range from $8.99 to $17.99 a month after a price increase last month. The no-ads version will remain at $11.99. The cheapest plan that includes only the ad-supported streaming library, without any live channels, will remain at $5.99 a month. Hulu sent notices of the upcoming price hikes to existing subscribers and confirmed the change on its website yesterday. There's also a Live TV plan without Hulu's streaming library, which is rising from $53.99 to $63.99. ![]() A standard Hulu Live subscription (which comes with all of Hulu’s on-demand streaming content) costs 54.99 per month. ![]() The price of this package will increase from $60.99 to $70.99 a month. Hulu Live, on the other hand, is a bit more expensive. Hulu also offers a Live TV plan with ad-free access to the streaming library. You also get unlimited access to more than 80,000 movies and TV episodes, including many popular Hulu Originals. The new $64.99 monthly price is for the package with over 65 live channels plus access to Hulu's ad-supported library of on-demand shows and movies. It was launched on Octoand it offers a library of films and television series from studios including 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, Disney Television Studios, ABC, Freeform, and FX Networks among others, as well as Hulu original programming. Hulu + Live TV debuted at $40 a month in mid-2017 but was up to $54.99 a month by December 2019. The increase will apply to existing and new subscribers.
